I play this more than any other

Top 3 fave iPhone games. This is my first iPhone app review. I love it that much.

Better than the first

Update to my review: What happened to the original cards? In the 1st ORIONS there were other monsters or spells. Please bring them back or explain how to unlock. We want Vampires, Werewolves, Female Wizards, Elves, Changelings, Zombies or even Unicorns ! Thanks Great game. Have iPhone 4 and havent crashed ever. Must be an iPod touch thing I guess. Anyhow, Ive been waiting for this game forever and its been worth it. Thank you Chillingo and awesome game developers !

Good game

Its pretty dam deep in a gameplay mechanics deep

Cant Stop Playing!

More cards, more multiplayer, more fun than the first version, which was already genius. Dont be intimidated by the apparent complexity of the game based on how detailed and beautiful the graphics are. Once you understand some basics, all will fall into place and it might as well be Crack because you will be addicted! For a strategy game, it doesnt get any better than this.

DOESNT START

every time i try to start this app it just crashes and i cant play it fix it or give me my money back!!!!!!!!!!

Chillingo ignores this game...

This application will never have updates? new cards? bug fixes?

Awesome expansion

I really like the duel part of the original Orions. Its a streamlined strategy card game with five slots for cards per player, and six elements that determine what cards and spells you can play. This expansion doesnt deviate from the basic gameplay, which is good. The card game was the strongest part of the original while the campaign was the weakest. The expansion adds more cards. It also changes several cards, removing some overpowered cards like life sacrifice and modifies some like fireball, making it more expensive and weaker at the same time. The changes do alter the nature of the duel a bit, there are more expensive cards and cards with unusual abilities like the wall cards, cards that add healing to other cards, cards that can turn cards into skeletons, modify other cards, etc. These changes deepen the strategy, although at the expense of the cheaper cards. The duel gets some some nice options, in particular you can make custom decks, draft cards, take on challenges like only using fire/death versus life/water. I havent tried multiplayer, however. All in all its a great expansion; one that Ive been waiting for for a long time.

Good program

Extremely addictive gameplay. I find myself replaying this game many times. If the programmers can just solve the problem of why the app crashes unexpectedly I would give it a five star rating!

Keeps crashing ip4s iOS 5.0

Cant even make it through a small map without crashing. Wish I could get a refund on a broken game.

Best strategy game on the market

Loved the original and this one is everything that one was and much more. The campaign mode is still lacking, but the duels have been very much improved by new card selection and play options. A must-have for any CCG player.

Love it

Was looking for a game like thus

Fun

Love it. Wish more people played online.

1.0

Why no versions for iPad !?!?!?!!?

Love the game

Needs a little more meat on tutorial. Takes a while to figure out why build, and that used cards must be repurchasedbwith earned crystals. Awesome game...

This is Magic the Gathering on the iPhone!!

This game is FANTASTIC. My favorite game on the app store by far. It feels so similar to MtG in so many respects.

Addictive!

Once you pick up what the cards do, the game has a lot of depth to it and brought me back over and over. In particular, the Draft mode against the CPU is a great way to while away a few minutes. Unfortunately, replay value on the Campaign mode seems much lower to me. The Easy and Normal difficulties can often be blitzed through on the first turn, while Hard turns into a long slog. Its a shame, because there are some great ideas there, but the game would still be worth it without Campaign mode at all. The fact that its fun a few times is just a bonus.

Decent Hybrid Game, but...

The card playing portion of the game is fun enough, but not quite as deep as I would like. Combining this with the tendious "world" navigation makes me think twice before opening this app. The graphics are nice and the overall game is well done, but when you put it up against other games that have a more focused deckbuilding (Ascension) or world conquest engine (European War 2) Orion 2 really loses its shine pretty quick

Great game

I loved the original Orions, this is more of the same, which is a good thing. I havent tried Game Center multiplayer, if my brother gets the game I will.

not bad

But nothing special

Why is this game ignored?

I dont really care about the campaign mode on this game, but the dueling mode would earn 4 stars all on its own. I just dont understand why the developer ignores it. There are some pretty serious bugs that people have been discussing in reviews since the game came out. Some, like the Blademaster bug lead to consistent crashes. Others are just annoying. If the developer would address these, I would give the game 5 stars, but unfortunately, they have a history of ignoring bugs in their products (Orions 1, anybody?). At this point, I would be hesitant to buy anything else by them.
